Founder Story

About the Founder

Highgate was founded by Zackery Presley, an Alabama-based project manager, IT professional, business teacher, husband, father, Christian, and Afghanistan veteran of the Alabama National Guard.

I build disciplined software for real-world workflows — not because I came from Silicon Valley, but because I’ve seen how quickly important work can become scattered, stressful, and hard to manage.

A Real-World Background

My background is not one straight line through software.

I’ve served overseas with the Alabama National Guard, worked in IT and infrastructure environments, managed projects, taught business, coached, raised a family, and lived through the kind of real-world pressure that makes organization matter.

That perspective shapes how I build software. I care less about hype and more about whether a tool helps someone think clearly, preserve what matters, and take the next right step.

Faith and Work

My faith matters to me. I’m a Christian, and I love Jesus.

That foundation shapes how I think about stewardship, discipline, honesty, and building things that are useful instead of noisy.

Software should help people carry responsibility better — not add confusion to their lives.

Why Highgate Exists

Highgate exists because many important workflows are still held together by memory, screenshots, notes, texts, spreadsheets, and stress.

I build tools for people who need structure in the middle of real life — parents, professionals, small teams, and people trying to keep important details from getting lost.
